China's largest dinosaur park is set to open in Zigong, Sichuan province in the summer of 2022
Zigong has three wonders: salt industry, silk lanterns and dinosaurs. It is the most famous excavation site of dinosaur fossils in China, and the Zigong Dinosaur Museum built on the fossil site is also the largest dinosaur museum in China. The museum displays almost all the known dinosaur species in the late Jurassic period, which can be called the "hometown of dinosaurs" in Jurassic. It was once named "The World's Best dinosaur Museum" by National Geographic magazine.
Fangte Dinosaur Kingdom, the largest dinosaur theme park in China, is located next to Zigong Dinosaur Museum. The two parks complement each other to form the largest dinosaur theme tourism area in China. Construction began in early 2018 and the park will open in 2022 after five years. According to the latest reports, the fonte Dinosaur Park is likely to open in May or June before the summer holidays, in order to accommodate the huge crowds.
Zigong Fangte Dinosaur Park is a large theme park, covering an area of nearly 1,000 mu, with more than 40 amusement projects. In addition to the regular amusement park projects, there are more dinosaur related games and dinosaur knowledge popularization in the park, which fully combine the dinosaur fossil culture and dinosaur model making technology of Zigong, reflecting the dinosaur culture in the land of dinosaurs.
